Delavan Lake Activities
Well summer has come to an end, and it is getting cold. Ugg. I was telling a friend of mine in Texas the things we have to do here in the Delavan Lake area to get ready for winter. He was shocked! He said "you mean you have to physically take the piers out of the water every fall?" I responded yes, but that is not all, the boats come out of the water too! We also have to drain our swimming pools, and winterize the "water toys". I actually learned this year how to winterize my own wave runner! But it doesn't end there, any plants you want to save need to be brought in the house, anything in the garage that could freeze and break has to also be brought into a warmer location. Soon Delavan and Lake Geneva will be frozen over, enough that you can drive cars on the lake, and then the ice fishing starts! That is a whole different topic!
